Submission / Citation Guidelines
Please send drafts of manuscripts as Word files to:

E-Mail: verein.zeitgeschichte@univie.ac.at
When submitting manuscripts, the publication of which will be decided through a double-blind peer review process, it is essential to follow the citation guidelines available in PDF format (German style sheet or English stylesheet).
Please note that only articles that comply with the citation guidelines will be considered!
Peer-Review-Process:
Upon receiving a submission, the article is assigned to two reviewers in a double-blind way. Together with the anonymous essay, the reviewers receive an evaluation form. Once the evaluation forms have been completed, the editorial assistant transmits these to the author, ensuring their anonymity. If accepted for publication by both reviewers, the author will be asked for a final version of the article. If the reviews conflict or there is substantial disagreement, the editorial board evaluate the article for publication. The author may be asked to resubmit a revised version of the article for another round of peer reviews.
Please note that any and all proofreading work falls under the responsibilities of the issue's editors. The zeitgeschichte team does not offer funding for external proofreading.
